I have 2 files in my site, a pdf and a word document, that
keep on getting uploaded when I publish even though they
haven't changed. How can I stop this from happening.
I wouldn't mind if they were small files, but they are not
and are therefore taking time to do so.

Thanks

Right click them and set the properties to Do Not Publish

I will try that, thanks.

But why does frontpage believe that those specific files
files have changed when they have not (and not other pdf
and doc files in the web)?

In addition to what Stefan says, FP will also use file sizes to compare
files that it can't compare the contents of. A file on your computer can
actually be a different size on another computer because the cluster size of
disk drive or file system can vary. For example: I copy a file on my NTFS
partition formatted as 1024 byte clusters to my FAT drive. The file often
grows by a couple KB on my FAT drive because my NTFS cluster size is smaller
and therefore more accurately represents the actual file size (since file
parts must take up an entire cluster, not just a part of it).

Hope this helps,
