file types

OK,
I did not know either so here is what I believe they are.
Keep in mind I work in the setup group and not the performance group. The
performance group deals with this information.
From what I can tell these are memory dumps generated by applications.
When you get the pop-up asking if you want to upload a file after an
application crashes, these are the files that would be uploaded. You can
find these files in you profiles directory under local
setting\temp\xxxx.tmp.dir00\<application name>.exe.hdmp.
I believe the dmp part of the extension is the main clue.
