I would like to transfer files from my old computer witch
runs on windows 2000 to my new computer that runs on
windows xp. I do not have any corresponding disk drives on
the 2 computers. One has a zip drive and one has a cd
write-able drive. I do have a network cable that i can run
from one computer to the other.

Thanks

Hi..
Well, there has to be some way to transfer the data.. Do you have a CD
Burner. Using the XP transfer wizard will allow you to burn to CD on the
Windows 2000 system then run the wizard on XP and choose the file you
burned. There has to be a way to transfer to the data.

Not sure how you are with the actual hardware of the system, but you could
do a local copy of the data, the move the drive to the other computer just
to read it.

I don't recomend this if you haven't moved a drive before.

Thank you,
