File transfer to slow with XP and W2k

Hi
I have windows w2k with sp3 and Window XP pro with sp1.
The protocal is TCP/IP connect directly to a 10/100
linksys wireless switch. Both system's NIC card are set to
connect to full duplex 100. Internet transfer of files are
quick and with no problem, but the transfer of file from
one system to another take forever. 1.3 megs took all
night system to system . A 128 meg Windows XP service pack
only take 25 minutes to download over the internet. What
is going on? The shared subdirect is map and the files are
songs.
 
If you close the folder, does it speed up? I have the
same problem, but when I close the folder it speeds up
dramatically.
 
How can I see those articles?
