Don

I have a home network, all computers are run XP pro and I
can share files and internet connecitons on all machines.
My problem is when I try to transfer a large AVI (8 to 10
gig) file to another machine.
The transfer never starts and I get an error saying that
the "Cannont copy XYZfile: There is not enough free disk
space. Delete one or more files to free disk space, and
then try again".
The file size is 9.4 gig, the hard drive I am
transferring to has 90 gig free.
What is causing this file transfer not to work?
Frustrated!!!

Look at free space on both machines, and look at file/folder permissions
on both sides.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

If the HD on the target PC is FAT instead of NTFS then you won't
be able to transfer any file bigger than ~4GB, due to FAT32's
limit.
