i have dowloaded the photo from digital camera and burn to a CD. I realised
it is in "UDF" File system. The CD can be access from Windows XP PC but not
accessable on Windows Vista PC, it shows blank content.

Anybody for the Vista to read "UDF" file system?

You need to "finalize" the CD on the XP system. Generally, UDF formatted CDs
can only be read on the machine that created them...

that's another lie imposed by microsoft

Thank you for the help.

Just wondering what is the reason this CD can only read via Windows XP and
not Windows Vista nor Windows 7?

Windows is a very poor OS, it can only read 4 types of filesystems natively:
FAT, NTFS, ISO9660 (witch sometimes wrongly appear as CDFS) and SMBS or CIFS
(the filesystem of windows network shares)... for any other filesystem you
must install controllers.

Your WinXP machine have UDF controller installed, the others don't.

Because as I stated - UDF format is normally only able to be read on the
machine the disk was created on....

Anyone can DL a UDF reader program, with a bit of searching.

Yes I know that, but the OP was asking WHY he couldn't read this UDF disk on
other machines. He didn't ask HOW to read it on other machines.
