I have a 2k3 server and 2kpro workstations, i would like to set certian
permissions on the workstations, so i used the the following GPO setting
"Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/File System"
which i've used many time before on xp pro boxes with great success but now
with the 2k box the setting are not applied even after i run "secedit
/refreshpolicy machine_policy /enforce" and gpupdate /force on the server,
will 2k3 server not apply this setting on 2k pro boxes or am i doing
something wrong??

Thanks

It does work in W2K.

Any event log errors?
Are the W2K boxes running SP4, and the Roll-Up?

ok I figured it out, it only worked if I configured the file system
permissions on the default domain policy, I was trying to do this on a
second policy that I created for certain users, as soon as a I configured
this in the default domain policy it was applied, any clue why??
