File Structure To HTML

FileStructureToHTML literally creates an .html file of your selected
drive or a specific directory. You can select the colors for the entire
file, including the background, text, and links. You can create a
listing of songs, videos, or other items based on the extensions you
enter. The files can be organized in a tree, listing or a table as a
html file or in a listing as a text file. Gain a whole new way of
viewing your file list.

Buggy -
Defaults are set weird - font size is tiny - max file size is also.
Easy enough to fix.
Had all sorts of problems until I found the "Max file size" option and
cranked it up, wasn't listing all sub folders

1: "Tree Structure" shows files but no folders, hence no "tree".
2: Changes to default colors won't take.

I was hoping this was a replacement for DIR2HTML, which puts all sort
of special buttons at the bottom of each page. This one's nice and
clean, if it only worked fully.

Conclusion: Nice concept: It needs work but it bears watching.

On my w98 system, exiting FileStuctureToHTML (1.08.3), that always gives
an ugly Krash.

FILESTRUCTURETOHTML caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:009d188d. [*]

I delete the dynamically generated *.dat files, as well as the *.ini, but
it doesn't help. Perhaps there is some reg entry, or perhaps even some entry
in the .ini, upon which it (or more specifically the funko "skinmagic"
library that it uses) has special dependency -- and where it could maybe
make a difference if I sought out the installer to see if it provides some
such needs. But I hadn't felt motivated to expend the extra time in test,
and just tossed it aside into the "mauvais" subdir of my archives drive.

Might as well ask while here, though. Anyone running this successfully
on w98?

Same here on win98SE, but: it does the job before it crashes :)

Same here on win98SE,

Thanks for the note that you get same result; that saves me from concern
that a diagnostic reinstall could be in order, or other futile hassles.

Good point. Barfing at exit is better than those that go running off for
the john right in the middle of a work assignment.

When developed this may be part of my alternative to html help or chm
files. I always hated keeping ie on my computer just to read chm help
files. Chm encoder, will decompile these things to lots of html files,
and a file structure to html would create a quick `table of contents'
file, so one did not have to hunt through 40 odd html files to get
some help information
