Is there a file splitter that work great under Vista - that can split files
(of any size) "automatically" to any size stated.....mainly for emailing
purposes, etc.

Then upon receipt these files can be re-assemble at the other end without
other software being required?

There used to be programs like this under XP.....

Anything?

Cheers

FG

HJ-split works in Vista, but the person on the other end needs to download
it also, or send it to them as well.

Another option for files too large to email is a service like
www.yousendit.com The free service allows 100MB files and 1GB /mo, file
rentention is one week.

Yes. It is called Windows Mail. Set the max file size per account in Tools -
Accounts - <account> - Properties - Advanced.

When recieving select all emails (they are numbered n/n) and Tools menu -
Combine and Decode.

someone has to have windows mail or outlook to combine and decode...

if someone uses gmail for example... its a problem...

bottom line? bad idea
