When I try to use excel 2003 (Office Standard Edition) it tells me this file
SKU112.CAB can not be found. It was a 60 day trial that was pre-installed at
the time I bought my computer. I never did upgrade to full version. It then
tells me that I need to either enter the product code, or enter the disc,
which of course I don't have, or if it was a download, to get online and
handle it that way, which of course I did not download it either. Would it
work to buy a full version in store or is there an easier way to fix it? No
program from the suite works.

Error 25090 Office Set Up encountered a problem with the office source
engine
System error 2147023179 Please open
C:\Program\Files\MicrosoftOffice\OFFICE11\1033\SETUP.CHM and look for
Office Source engine for info on how to resolve problem..........well I can't
even pull up that file! HELP!

Having same problem and it happened on the same day. Is there anyone out
there that can help??

I am having the same problem, only a window keeps popping up trying to load
Microsoft Office 2003, and then telling me to insert the disc. I cancel it
and it keeps coming back. Anybody have a fix for this yet, or a way to
restore it?

Thanks,

Update .....I can now use all of the programs. I am not sure what I did, but
now every time I try to get into word or excel or power point, I still get the
small window that pops up and claims the program needs to be configured
and is installing, gathering information, etc. If I press cancel, right away,
then the program does actually load normally and I can use it without any
problems. If I don't hit cancel right away, a larger window pops up and shows
the error message, as well as where I can browse to find the original file .
If
I hit cancel again, instead of OK , the program will then load and I can use
it.
So for me at least, the "solution" instead of going out and buying a whole
new disc and or hiring the geek squad, which I can't afford, is to hit cancel
instead of OK when any of those windows pop up. I hope this helps, so at
least you might be able to use the programs, even though those windows
are annoying.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work for me. I've been hitting "cancel" to make
the Error Message windows go away, but they keep coming back on their own.
They also come back when I try to open Word 2003, and when I hit cancel, I
get a message saying a Fatal Error has occurred and the program can't open.
I really don't use Office 2003, and would like to make the Error Messages
stop popping up if I can't restore the program.
