File Size Limit

Is there a limit to the file size Windows XP can handle?
(Note the little pun there).

I was always under the impression that the limit was 4 Gig
and some change. I recorded an AVI the other day and was
surprised to find it to be over 5 Gigs. Windows handled
it with no problem. But back to the question. Is there a
limit?

Hi,

First, NTFS has greatly increased the size of files and
volumes, so that they can now be up to 2^64 bytes (16
exabytes or 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 bytes)

:)

Regards,

Tim
