file size issue

I'm using Office 2003 English SP2 on Windows XP. I have one ppt file with
several slides, and only one of them is what I want. The interesting thing I
noticed is that if I modify the file directly deleting all slides except for
the one I really need, the file size is much bigger than copying the slide to
a new file.

Any clue what is taking up the file size? Any hidden content?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Tools - Options - Save, turn off the Fast saves there and save your file
with a new file name.

Best regards,
Ute

Thank you for your reply, Ute! But this seems not working. The new file has
the same file size as before.

Is there perhaps a big graphic on your slides or notes master?
[View]-[Master]-[Slide Master] or notes or handouts master.

Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?
