Your question is probably wrongly worded. Within the
context of networking, you're sharing a folder, not a file.
For example: You're making the folder d:\Finance visible
under the share name \\YourPC\Finance. Now what
exactly would you like to know?
when you right click on a file there is no tab for sharing, therefore you
cant share a file
when you right click on a folder there is a sharing tab therefore if you
want to share a file you put it in a folder and share that folder
