File Sharing. Who has my file open?

Is there any way that a user can determine who has their
file open? This user has several files he shares but
often finds that someone will go home for the night with
the file still open on their computer. This user does not
have any administrative access to the server and will
not. I tried using winfile from NT but that does not
appear to work in 2000.

The file server is 2000 advanced server and is in a
domain. The clients are 2000 pro. I haven't been able to
find a utility that allows the user to do this.

Right-click My Computer
Click Manage
Click the [+] next to Shared Folders
Click Open Files
