File Sharing Not Working from C: only

My problem is that for some reason any folders that I chose to share across
my home nework, which are stored anywhere on my C: drive, can not be accessed
over the network. This includes the Shared Documents folders, 'Shared
Pictures'etc.

I also have an external USB drive with my music on, and I have managed to
set up sharing for the folders on there, and I can access them from other
computers on my laptop with out any problem. The same goes for other drives,
e.g. I can share the root of the A: drive and this works.

As far as I can tell, the lack of access to shared files stored on my C: is
also preventing me from using my printer over the network, as other computers
cannot automatically download the suitable drivers for my printer from my
computer as they are also stored on the C:

I am running XP SP2 on all machines, and every other aspect of the netowrk
seems to be running fine.

P.S As far as I can remember, I usually get the 'Network Resource
Unavailable. PLease Contact Administrator" message

Angus,

What's the complete and exact text of the error observed? Could be important.

Did this start recently? Did you make any changes immediately before you
noticed this happening?

Any details in the Event Log - Security?

Ok, I got my laptop running, and tried to connect to the troubled share, and
the message I recieved was the "Not enough server storage is available to
process this command." one. I changed the IRP Stack to 18 restarted, and it
works!

Whether or not the IRP stacksize problem only relates to Norton/Symantec
products, I have never had any Symantec software on my machine, only
Kaspersky Antivirus which I still have running and there was no previous
value for IRPstacksize stored in the registry, so it is possible that
Kaspersky could be creating the same issues?

Anyway, thankyou so much. I really appreciate it.

Angus,

Not enough is known about that particular error condition. But knowing that
it's existence may NOT be just related to NAV is important. So thanks for the
feedback.
