File Search Hangs

When I use the Search feature on the Start button, the
Search window always hangs after I tell it to start
searching. How can I get it to search correctly?
 
The web site referred to below suggested re-installing
using the srchasst.inf file. I did this successfully,
however, it did not fix the problem. Any other ideas?
