microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs is a better group to discuss file
replication issues.

If your data is appropriate for FRS, you can use DFS (use dfsgui.msc) to set
up a couple link targets, then enable replication. You should check to be
sure FRS is the file replication tool. There is considerable information
available on http://www.microsoft.com/frs.

First, FRS is not well suited for all environments where file replication is
needed. I suggest taking a look at the FRS Monitoring Help File. At the
beginning are a few pages of information about appropriate and inappropriate
uses for FRS. The help file comes with Ultrasound, or you can download it
separately. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/frs. Follow the link for "FRS
Troubleshooting and Monitoring." Then save the "FRS Monitoring Help File"
link to your local machine to view it.

Have a look at the more detailed How FRS Works document.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tr...erver2003/proddocs/techref/w2k3tr_frs_how.asp

If you choose to use FRS, you are going to need to enable file replication
on both servers. This should be done automatically when you use the DFS GUI
MMC snap-in.

Finally, you should set up a separate environment for testing, and be sure
to take backups before playing with the real data.

Please post FRS related questions to microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs
and prefix the subject line with "FRS:" to make it easier to spot. Note
that FRS is used to replicate SYSVOL on domain controllers and DFS root and
link targets.
