I would like to try to insert the a Filename and Path into a Powerpoint
Presentation the same as you can in Word, is this possible and if so how do
you do it.

TAJ:

I followed the instructions below, and I still can't seem to get it working.
Should I see the path/filename on the slide, or does it only print? I want
to insert the path/filename text into a text box, not necessarily at the
footer . . . any ideas?

It sounds as though it's working but, when working, it doesn't work like you want
it to. ;-)

What exactly do you want it to do? Insert the information into a text box, yes,
but what text box? One you've already created or one it should create?

Steve:

I'd like it to go into a text box either way -- I just don't see it anywhere
right now. I'd love it to go into a text box that I've already created, but
as long as I can position the textbox where I want it, I'm happy.

Have a look here again. I've added a new routine that should get you started:

Add the current path and file to every slide
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00407.htm

It'll add and format the text box for you; you can modify the formatting in the code
or just move and reformat it once it's added. It'll re-use the text box once it's
there.
