file recovery

I saved a ppt file on a floppy- it attempted to save on a
last attempt as i was finished and said it could not save.
Now the file on the floppy will not open. It says- cannot
open file with file name "Forms of Energy "
How can i get my file open or find a temporary file
somewhere? I did not save it to the hard drive only the
floppy- have i lost my info completely?

When saving any file, save it first to your hard drive
Click to expand...
and then copy it to a floppy.

Saving it directly to a floppy often ends up with this
problem. A lesson to learn.
 
Diana, just out of curiosity, check your setup at Tools > Options > Save
tab. Do you have Fast Saves enabled?

If yes, turn it off, and let us know, ok?
