My hard disk crashed in such a way that it's unbootable; I had to buy a new
computer. The old disk is corrupted, but when installing it in the new PC as
a slave, I'm able to see the file structure and also open the unprotected
files.
Here is my problem: I have a lot of files stored on the old hard drive which
is unaccessible due to password protection (admin account) on the old hard
drive. I know the password and username but it's no good when not promted for
it - the only thing happing is that the "access denied" dialog appears -
right click gives dialog, but changes has no effect.
IMPORTANT: I'm not allowed to change anything regarding rights to the
folders when logged on the new computer (solution generally suggested).
Any suggestions? Maybe there is a program promting for username and
password, thus allowing me to "log on" to my old files - as mentioned - I
know the password and username.
