Hi,
I was about to open a link and save a file from a :\\file location. When I
tried it, Internet Explorer stopped working. How could this be like that?

Hi Rian,

What was the link you tried to open?
a:\filepath\filename.???
or
file://a:\filepath\filename.???

In the above examples note that the second one with the file:\\ beginning is
a valid link (and is underlined in your mail reader).

The link you provided a:\\file location is ill-formed and wont work.
