File Protection issue after SP4 install or Hot Patch

Hi all,

I have two Windows 2000 servers. Some time ago I loaded SP4, and in the
following days I applied some critical MS patches through Windows Update.

Ever since, one of the two servers regularly pops up a dialog box about a
"bad" file and asks for the Windows media in order to replace it with the
good version again. I've inserted the Win2000 CD-rom which does not solve
the problem.

In the event log, error 64005 is logged, saying that file SCHMUPD.EXE could
not be restored. It also says that the version of the "bad" file is
5.0.2195.3651

If I search for the file on that server, I find it three times:
c:\winnt\ServicePackfiles\i386 --> dated 8/8/2000 and version
5.0.2195.3651
c:\winnt\system32 --> dated 30/5/2001 and version 5.0.2195.3651
c:\winnt\system32\dllcache --> dated 30/5/2001 and version 5.0.2195.3651

So three times the same file.
On the other server, wich does not give this File Protection error, I find
exactly the same three fileversions.

The schmupd.exe file has something to do with IIS. The server giving the
problem, is running also Exchange 2000 which uses IIS.

I would like to get rid of this error. I would be grateful if somebody
could tell me how.
