I want to bookmark few slides in a 100 slide file, for fast access.
I had a search in this ng and got the following thread interesting
A post by Timothy W. Fouts on 9/18/2006
And a reply by Shyam Pillai 9/19/2006
In Shyam's solution which says go to File| Property| Custom, Link to content.
Link to content is grayed out. How can I make it active?

ÙŽOn that thread another fellow raised the same question and came to a
solution, but that doesn't work me.

If you want to access these files during a presentation,

you can use the little known option of typing in the slide number (during a
slideshow) and pressing the Enter/Return key. Powerpoint will then jump to
that slide.

Obviously you need to know your slide number first!

No this will not solve my problem. I am aware of what you mentioned.
I have man files and inside each one I am interested in one or two slides
and want to spot them when I open the file as quickly as possible.
One option is to copy them to another file but this is not a wise solution

Thanks Chirag
It worked. In my experience I think the content for selection should be
text. I tried to perform it by selecting a text box itself but it didn't
accept. Am I right?

One more question
In property box we input two items one is name in top and the pother is
value. Name appears in link box but what is the function of value?

The "Link to content" box is active only if you have selected some content.
You need to select a shape and then select "File" | "Properties" menu item |
"Custom" tab.
