Had a similar occurrence with another file earlier this year and asked about
it in the Word group, without really finding out what was happening.
Perhaps the print regulars might know:
Trying to print a particular file from within Word (version dated 2003), all
I get is a 'preparing for background printing' message and the processor
locks up and Word has to be shut down in Process Explorer.
But if I just right click the file without opening Word it goes straight to
the printer with no problems.
What is the difference?
Cheers,
