Hi,
I have a PC and a laptop, both running Windows XP Home. I am sharing
internet access using a Linksys wireless router. The PC is connected
directly to the outlet on the wall and the laptop has a wireless PC
card. There is no problem as far as Internet sharing is concerned.
I tried to setup a home network and I can see the shared folders on
either computer from the other one. However, when I try to open the
folder(s), I get an "xxx is not accessible, contact your system
administrator" error message.
Also, when I look for the printer, that I have made "shared", I browse
all the way to the computer name that the printer is connected to, but
don't see the printer listed.
I have enabled file/printer sharing, and under TCP/IP -> Advanced
setting, I have uncheked "use lmhosts" and have selected "enable
netbios over tcp/ip" (according to some articles here. Before I
couldn't even get the sahred files/folders to show up on either
computer.)
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong in getting these error
messagees?

Have you set up username(s) and password(s) info on each machine? That is,
have you given "User A" on the PC a "User A" username and password on the
laptop... and vice versa?

No. There are users on the desktop but none require password. Laptop
has only one user, so it goes directly into desktop.

Go to control panel - tools - folder options - view - advanced settings -
unclick Use simple file sharing (Recommended) (Located at the bottom of the
advanced settings.
