I have no trouble using my Win ME computer running FP 2000 but with my new
Vista running FP 2003 my page won't display. The ftp works as I can use
another ftp program (WS FTP) and see the new files in the folder. What's
wrong?

I used the following address on my web space
ftp://home.alltel.net21/home_page to publish.

My server administrator says that if I can get the files to the server
(which I can) then it's not their problem that they don't display I get the
"file not found" message.

The link you gave is to a folder. what's the actual name of the page (with
file extension)?

The web page I sent first was "index.htm" and having had problems with that I
re did the web and named it "index.html" but neither would load when I went
to the site.

sometimes a file will get renamed on upload, but I checked all the names a
file will normally get and it still wasn't there.
if you want, contact me directly and I'll help you figure this out. I say
directly because I'll need your un/pw, etc.

I worked through the Front page troubleshooter and could not get my Vista
computer to complete the test. I would get the "likely not successful
because of a firewall" everywhere I could turn off the firewall, I had done
so. I feel there is something in Vista that won't allow the server to send
the directory back.

and what is the "desktop" folder that appeared in my web page? I was able
to move the file (containing my webpage) from Front Page 2003 Vista computer
over to a jumpdrive and then publish it using my Windows ME machine running
Front Page 2000. That's the page I have up--but I can't do anything with
Vista.
