File Not Found Errors

I made a slight modification (configuration wise - no new components) to my
target and upon rebuild I received a ton of "File Not Found Errors." So I
immediately closed the target w/o saving, re-opened it, issued a build, and
still the errors occur.

Next, I tried rebooting the machine, re-open, re-build, and still the errors
occur.

I have read up in the NG and it has been suggested that this is a repository
error, but is it a bug? After I removed and reinstalled the component
database, everything works great. Has MS pinpointed it? Is there a
workaround, or some particular chain of events to avoid?

Thanks in advance,
-Bobby

Hi Robert

You lost your link between the Target Designer and the SQL-Database.
Un- and Reinstall both and try to read the .SLX file again.
This should work.

Agreed, this works, but do you know how the link got lost? I'm looking for
one of those "doc, it hurts when I do this..., so don't do this" comments.

I suspect it had something to do with booting my FBA image on the same
machine. I've started using another computer for this process and the
problem has not re-occurred.

Hi Robert

No... I realy don't know the reason behind this error...
I put this error in the category: "endless space..... where no man was
before"

:-)
