1) Launch Windows Registry Editor via
[Start]
| Run |
regedit
[Enter]
2)- Navigate to this key...
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
3)- Locate the data value "DontPrettyPath".
If its value is not 0 (zero), then make a note of the
value and then change it to zero. You may need to logoff
for changes to take effect.
4) Verify that the value-type is REG_DWORD
5) In your reply, please indicate what the value-type and
value-data were.

When I rename a file, Windows automatically makes it all
upper case.
Is there any way to prevent this?
