File Menu Defaults to "Recent" View

Running Office 2010 on Windows 7 Ultimate

When clicking the File Menu, the "Recent" is automatically displayed. I
don't remember this being the case before so I'm wondering what happened.
Word does not do this.

Any Ideas? Thanks in Advance.
 
I also meant to say that this only happens on MS Excel.
