Hi Team, can you please help me out.
Looking for a freeware File Manager which will run under DOS and from a
Floppy Disk.
TIA

I'd use DOS Navigator+ (DN+).
When I had troubles and couldn't get into Windows,
it helped me out very well.
DOS' "copy *.*" does not copy subdirectories,
and if you want to copy a tree like that it's a big job.
A great DN+ advantage is that it can copy trees.

Direct download:

Need a small (freeware) command-line unzipper?

(also useful to put in your Command directory)

Hello Guys,
Thanks very much for the suggestions and help. I will check them all out
now.
Had a major lock-up the other day and then it refused to reboot. Big
headaches for a while and it's not easy trying to identify files and
directories from dos when all the names are well in excess of the dos 8
letter limit :~( I'm now putting together a rescue set of floppys
programs.
Thanks again.
Leo

I've heard of programs supporting long file names in DOS.
Freeware, yes. Maybe I even have some, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know?
If not, you could try Google anyway.
Good luck!

But OFF TOPIC I guess...:(

Ah, you beat me by 15 minutes. Over here HBO action movies are playing
in the background, so that puts a handicap on efficiency. Gimme supp
points for multi-tasking tho.

LOL, maybe I just set my clock fast. ;)
You need to get your TV on the monitor like me to avoid such
disadvantages alt+tab, alt+tab. :)
