File locked by system

Occasionally I run across a file that is locked by the system account. If I
need to unlock the file locked by the system account how would I go about
doing that? I guess also I would have to track down the application that has
it locked...

At your own risk, if it's NTFS and you are administrator, you can add your account to permissions by right clicking the file and
clicking the security tab. However, the file is usually locked for a reason. The application that usually locks files is the
Windows operating system..
