I work off of a network whereas, I insert photo files & link them into a
predefined Word Template I have. Because the location of these photo files
always is different it appears that I have to modify my location every time
to a different location. In Word 97, once I went to get first photo
location, subsequent insertions, it would always go back to that location on
its own. Is there anyway that I can do same in this version? Is there anyway
I can have my pictures just show as details versus thumbnails too?

Hi Darryl,

The Insert/Picture path is a little different from other types of
paths found in Windows and Word.

Take a look under Tools/Options/File Locations. Do you have a path set
for Clipart pictures? (If it is empty do not set one!)

If this path is blank then Word will remember the last folder you
selected. If there is a path then Word will default to the folder
specified each time you use the Insert/Picture/From File command.

If there is a path set then you will need to remove it by editing the
Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Options

Delete or rename 'PICTURE-PATH" on the right.
