Hello, Further to my post on file format, and the informative replies for
which I give my thanks. When loading into Mavie Maker 2 I save as DV-AVI PAL
as I live in the UK. When I save the project it saves as Windows Media Files.
My question is will these play on a standard DVD player. Sorry I seem to be a
bit thick on this one. Best regards,

Hello & Worry Not,

When you click on FILE > SAVE MOVIE FILE you are presented with the Save
Wizard. Part way through that wizard you are asked what type of file you want
to save and it gives a list of options...If you do not see DV-AVI then you need
to click on the "Show More Options" button....you will then see a lot more
options.

Carrying Johns reply further, you will not be able to play a cd made in MM
in a nornmal dvd player. Save the file as a dv-avi and use it in something
like nero to make a vcd.

I did this to do a VCD, (OK I used MyDVD instead of Nero) I pop the CD in
my DVD player, and the menu plays, but I cannot pick the movie... it's like
one level down and I cannot 'select' the movie... what did I do wrong ?

If you can see the menu, are you sure you linked the movie properly? Did you
have the option to test links before burning? Does it play in the pc ok?
