Hi Dave,

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

If that doesn't correct the issue (and it should) use this automated edit:

Search or CMD Opens When Double Clicking a Folder or Drive (Line 18)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To use the VBS File: Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you
may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double-click the vbs file.
You will be prompted when the script is done.

If the above doesn't solve the issue:
- Right-click and Open the folder (windows explorer)
- Tools > Folder Options
- File Types tab
- Select "File Folders"
- Click Advanced
- Click "New..." in the new window
- Type "Open" for the action (without the quotes)
- Type "C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe" for the program to use (without the
quotes)
- Click OK to make the command
- Click the "Open" command listed under Actions
- Click "Set Default"
- Click OK to save changes
- Click close to return to windows

Hope this works out for you -- It is how I resolved the same problem.

If you need help, email (e-mail address removed).
