Excel file extension is camouflaged as xls

I am trying to open a file which is not opening properly in excel 2010 although the file extention is xls...
here is the screen shot:Can anyone please help how to identify the problem ...

Looks like it could be an image... there's a reference to Samsung, and a quick Google tells me that "samsungsm-g920th" refers to the S6. Also on that top line there is a reference that looks similar to how my Samsung phone stores images (ie with date and time in the file name), so maybe try opening it as a jpg.
