Hello,
I am looking for a program to change a file extension so you can use files
in many programs not just one. Example: convert AEX file to gif, or pcd.

you need to convert the content, not just rename the file.

There is no universal converter that is able to convert
anything to everything else.

When you want to do AEX to GIF I assume AEX as a picture format.
I cannot find that much useful, just "Art Explosion Greeting
Card Factory Deluxe Graphic"...

I don't think you'll find a freeware AEX converter, you should
try to use the application you used to create these AEX files.
