Hi, some of my jpgs are not opening... I'm getting a file error... that's
all it says just "file error"... I looked online to find a solution and
found something that told me to edit the registry.. but I'm not comfortable
with editing the registry unless I get instructions from someone in here...
someone I trust! I thought it was just my programs that couldn't view
them.. but went to windows explorer and got the same error on about 1/3 of
the jpgs... any help always appreciated... thanks Rainy...

Can you post the exact error message ?
Can you open the JPEG on another computer/os ?

Try this :

Thanks so much Ayush, "file error" is the error message... sorry I don't
have another computer or operating system... I tried your fix but still had
the same problem... noticed the name of the jpgs were the same as others..
so I deleted them in safe mode... for instance it was called picture26.jpg
and the one that was corrupt was picture 26 too.. two of them... I went into
safemode and deleted the bad ones... so far so good, if I have more problems
with my images, I will repost ... thanks so much
