File encryption

I encrypted a file in xp bata, I had to re-install widows and now have no
access to the file is there any way of gaining acces back to it??

If you did not export the relevant certificates etc then no the file is
lost.

how do i export the relevent certifications? i would like to know for when i
start using the WinXP file encryption.
