I notice that in many programs the background of the File, Edit, and other
menu buttons are white, or turn white when moving the mouse over them (the
basic buttons that drop down for further action). This happens in a few
older programs, which I might expect. But it also happends for programs
developed for Win XP, such as the full version of Acrobat 6. This seems to
happen much more with SP2 (which I have on my new home computer), but I also
see it with SP1 (on my work laptop).

Anyone know why this happens? And how to fix it if possible?

Thanks,
-Steven

This may be caused by a problem with the video driver. I would update
to the latest drivers and see if this helps.

Updated to latest Direct X9.0c and ATI Radeon X1300 latest drivers (8.231 Feb
2006) Could it still be a driver problem even though I've got the latest
drviers?

It's the way the GUI was designed by the programmers I suppose.

I see the sort-of same thing with Photoshop Elements 4.0.

Hi I am having the same problem. I am using and ATI 9100 IGP card which is
to the best of my knowledge fully updated. Please anyone reply with any tips
or helpful information.
