Hi Guys,

I have an excel 2000 worksheet. I have some numbers red and the rest are
black. When I print to our color printer, the red is gray. I checked in
properties to see if gray scale was selected but it wasn't. If I create a
new excel file and use red font, it prints out fine. If I print this
spreadsheed from another computer it still prints in gray scale. So...I
know it's not the printer or drivers. Where can I look for a setting that
prevents this document from printing in color?

Thanks,
Linda

It is unchecked. I should have been more precise. I have tried other
things and still can't figure it out.

It prints from 2 different PC's on the same laser printer in gray and black
Other excel sheets from the same PC's and printer print in color fine
I e-mailed the document to my house and it prints in color on my printer

The printer is a brand new lanier laser color printer.

Thanks,
Linda

Strange indeed............I think what I would do is open a new dummy
workbook, and type in a couple lines and make sure it printed out in color
on the Lanier printer, and save it. Then erase that dummy data, and open
the Badworkbook and copy and paste the data over into the dummy workbook and
save it. Then, close everything and re-open the dummy workbook and see if
it will print in color.........

It don't sound like much, but it might just break some sort of
loop...........

Thanks...that worked. Just need to get over figuring out what was wrong in
the first place..that drives me nutz!

Software does strange inexplicable things sometimes.........probably will
never know what/why............. glad you got it working and thanks for the
feedback.....................
