I am trying to use this code to select a file

http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0001.htm

when I try to run it I get "Only comments may appear after end sub, end function or end property" Debug lights up the function declaration following the "end Type" statement. Can someone help.

Have you pasted the code into an existing sub/function? Try inserting that
code at the top of your module.
