I had something interesting happen and I am looking for an explanation
why. I have an XP sp1 client looking at a share on an Windows 2000 sp4
server. I attemted to delete a dll and got an error message the file
was in use and couldn't be deleted. Once the file was no longer in
use, in this case a day later, the file automatically was deleted.
Is there something that marks a file for deletion and then deletes it
when the file is no longer in use? This has to be happening because I
was able to reproduce it, but I haven't been able to find documentation
on it.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff D.
