File/Data Recovery Software Request

I have an 7 or 8 year old hard drive which I replaced about 3 years ago
because it had a lot of errors. At the time, I copied what I could and put
it aside.

I just got one of those IDE/USB boxes and I looked at the drive again.

There seems to be a few good things I didn't catch the first time. I have
PLENTY of hard drive capacity of my XP machine(s) now so I want something
that can make the best effort at copying the file structure and data from
the damaged disk to a portion of the new disk.

Right clicking to get a "MOVE" or "COPY" only works for a few files at a
time. When the system can't read a file, it stops the process.

Thanks

Here is a program to help copy files - and continues copying even if the
file
cannot be copied:

Ycopy is a data migration utility. In short it is a utility that helps you
copy data from one disk to another.

What Ycopy is not.
Ycopy is a useful utility for the intended purpose.
It is not a data recovery tool.
It was originally written for and is used at our local computer store.
It is not a cure all.
If the original drive is physically broken in any way
then use of Ycopy will most likely not help.
It makes no attempt to restore corrupt files.
It is however very good at making the job of copying existing data
to a new drive a much more predictable and less time consuming operation
than it can otherwise turn out to be.

This is a very nice little program:

That's the version I have. There may be newer ones out. There was no
author site listed in the file.
