We are running Oracle Database on Windows 2000 Advanced
Server SP4. I scheduled an OS job via Schedule Tasks GUI
to backup the database (offline backup) weekly. However,
the task was never completed fully for the last 3 weeks.
To diagnose the problem, I kicked off the job manually.
I sat there and watch the process to xcopy 30 datafiles
each of them is about 2GB in size ).
After completing about 15 datafiles, the following error
occurred:
File creation error - insufficient system resources exist
for the requested serives.
The script was aborted as soon as the error occurred. I
checked the disk spaces, temp folder, and everything. I
could not find anything suspecious.
The server has 8 CPUs and 12 GB memory. I don't understand
why the system resource is an issue.
If you have an answer for me, please send me an email to
the two email addresses below:

Thanks a lot!
