Hi All,
Is there a tool which can copy files from one server to another and still
keep each folder's sharing, accessing permissions? The tool should work with
NT 4.0 as well as Windows 2000 system.
Thanks in Advance!

Robocopy which is in the Resource Kits for NT4 and Windows 2000 copies
files and maintains permissions.

This tool works well, but it does not recreate the share.
This is a manual process.

Network shares are stored under the Lanmanserver service key in the
registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares

Thanks for your posts.
I just need to move partical data from one server to another. According your
suggestions, I have to robocopy the data and then manually recreate shares
in the destination server and use permcopy.exe to migrate any share
permissions.
Is there an one command does all? from third party software?

I do not know of any 3rd party tool to do this but there may be one that
I am not familiar with.
