How do I put up individual background images in my files?
like in win98? (In files NOT the main desktop)
I tough it could'nt be done but my old win98 files still
have their backgrounds and font colors, but i cant modify
them.

is there a option or external program that can bring back
this option?

XP works like 98/2000. However the dialog has been removed. The easy way is to install this program
http://www.clonesoft.com/shareware/index.htm

These settings are stored in a text file called desktop.ini in the folder customised. You can copy from 98/2000 to XP but view them first and remove extra settings.

I regularly use this program that adds an extra tab to the Folder
Properties menu. Will colour text as well. Sure beats creating the
desktop.ini (that points to a hidden sub-folder's image file) from
scratch. Can be uninstalled in the usual manner.
