File Association Issues

I have a directory that I keep all of my downloaded progs/update in to keep
them organized. I was browsing through it yesterday and noticed that the
columns used by Windows Explorer were the ones used for pictures. All of the
files are .exe files. I obviously have some association set to recognize
..exe files as images. How can I fix this? I am relatively computer savy,
but this is an area that I have never had to mess with. Can someone help?

Thanks,
Benny

Hi, Benny.

This happens too often in Windows Explorer, and we complain about it often,
too. It's easy to fix, but the fix doesn't always stick and we may have to
do it again.

In WE, click View (on the Menu bar, not Views on the Toolbar) | Customize
this folder... On the Customize tab, it asks "What kind of folder do you
want?" In the drop-down box, you can choose Documents, rather than Pictures
and Videos. You may want to check the box to "Also apply this template to
all subfolders".

There are many customizations possible in WE, maybe too many!
