I have Windows XP Professional and recently discovered that the file
association of CAD .dwg files are no longer associated with inVisio my .dwg
drawing viewer. The association worked previously. I then went to microsoft
explorer and the Tools/folder Options/File Types menu and found that they
were associated with Internet Explorer. After removing that association, I
then restored the association to open the .dwg files with inVisio my drawing
viewer program. The association is shown correctly under the Registered File
types. When I click on the dwg extension in the list it correctly states
that the dwg file opens with inVisio. However, when I click on a .dwg file,
inVisio opens but states that it can not find the file. But, when I open the
same file from within invisio it opens properly. I have an internal web site
that requires the use of invisio to display .dwg files and they are no
longer being displayed. Something happened to disturb the working
association and I can't seem to fix it. Any suggestions?
