File As

When I put in a new contact the file as field is correct
but when i go to the Address Card View the File as Field
is blank???
 
There is more to this story, I suspect. State your Outlook version, how you
created your Contacts, whether the File As... field ever displayed as it
should, and what configuration changes you made that broke it.

I am using Outlook 2002 but I want to say the problem

started when I bought Office XP Standard the Upgrade.
The old Contacts still show the name at the top of the
Gray area when it is in Address Card View. When I Press
the new button and add a new contact the "File As" field
files it correctly just like the old ones. When you view
the address card view the gray area where the name is
suppose to be is blank, and when you view the phone list
the "file as" field is blank. In the phone list view for
contacts the new ones i enter show as
File As : (None) (30 Items)

Please Help!!
I have been trying to fix this for months!!

Do you remember how you did the upgrade? Did you import any of these
Contacts?
Have you tried using the Inbox Repair Tool to repair your PST file?
Alternate it with a scandisk utility until no errors are found in your file.
