File As field

When I attempt to add a new account, I get an error saying, "The File As
field for this contact is empty..." There is no "File As" field when setting
up an account.

The history pane is also showing email that is unrelated to this account.

The only advice I have found so far is the "Clear Cache" under tools, etc.
That has not helped. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Make sure you add a Name for the Account, I believe the FileAs is
silently copied from the Name field.

But it sound like you have a bigger problem, the forms cache is hosed.

Outlook 2003, and earlier, has a "forms cache" bug. Clearing the cache
usually fixes it. Choose Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options |
Custom Forms, then click Manage Forms, then Clear Cache. If simply
clearing the cache doesn't fix the issue, try the other steps detailed

The bulk of the forms cache issues in Outlook 2003 are fixed in Service
Pack 1, so you should also install Office 2003 Service Pack 1 as well
as BCM SP1.

Thanks for your help. None of these ideas worked. I did these and some
others. It appears I am going to have to wipe my drive and start over.
